What is Internet Business Law Services?

IBLS is an Internet and E-Commerce Law content company. IBLS content is available through online subscription, licensed educational programs, and through it’s global law portals.

As the world's first complete source of legal information for legal issues relating to the Internet and E-Commerce, IBLS services are designed to help companies, lawyers, governments, and higher education students understand how international developments in all areas of Internet law may affect online business.

IBLS does not endorse or recommend specific lawyers. We encourage you to do your own due diligence to determine the best legal representation for your situation. We have many fine law firms represented in our database. By reviewing the summaries they have posted, you are enabled to determine appropriate representation for your situation. IBLS does not practice law, and as such does not provide legal services directly to the public.

Can IBLS law summaries to be used as legal advice?

The summaries are provided for general background information on various areas of law and are not intended to be used or relied on in place of actual legal consultation for your specific issue. We suggest contacting our Charter Partners and Network Partners if you need to retain legal representation.

Where does IBLS get their law summaries from?

We have legal partners in more than 30 countries who submit summaries related to their area of legal expertise. IBLS supplements this content with summaries written by internationally recognized authorities who work in government, private practice, and for non profit organizations that are taking an active hand in shaping E-Commerce Law. In addition, IBLS’ legal staff will supplement the database on certain areas of law.

What is the process that the IBLS law summaries pass through in order to be featured in the data base?

Our summaries go through extensive quality control by our staff of professional legal librarians and licensed attorneys. After revision, source law verification, and formating, the summaries are then indexed to make them easily accessible to our subscribers.

What is the EU Law Portal?

IBLS recognized that although E-Commerce is a global phenomenon, there is also specific need for pinpoint focus on an individual region or country. The IBLS EU Law Portal, www.eulaw.ibls.com , is the first in a grouping of portals under the IBLS Global Law Portal, www.ibls.com containing news, articles and information on Internet and E-commerce Laws. The E.U. Portal is an excellent quick guide for information on EU regulations and issues concerning online business. Much of the EU Law Portal content is available as a service for IBLS site visitors at no charge, and also offers individuals seeking more in depth information online subscription options.
